Harald Throne-Holst (47) is Head of Research for Technology and Sustainability at Consumption Research Norway at Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences, Oslo, Norway. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical engineering from the Norwegian Institute for Technology, and a PhD in sociology from the University in Twente. The title of his dissertation was ‘Consumers, nanotechnologies and responsibilities. Operationalizing the Risk Society’. His research interests include social and ethical aspects of emerging technologies (nano-, bio and ICT).
