dr hab. inż. Anna Sobolewska
Anna Sobolewska is a professor assistant (adjunct) at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. She received her PhD in Chemical Sciences at the WUST in 2007 and DSc in Technical Sciences at the AGH University of Science and Technology in 2017. From 2010 to 2011 she was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Physics at Case Western Reserve University (Ohio, USA) and form 2011 to 2012 she worked as an experience researcher in the Functional Polymer Systems Division at the Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Polymer Research in Potsdam-Golm (Germany). Her scientific interests are focused on photoactive organic materials, mainly photochromic polymers and phototropic liquid crystals, that can be used in optical information storage and processing and in photonics. She is a co-author of over 40 scientific papers in refereed journals, a few book chapters, co-inventor of a few patents and she contributed to almost 100 conference communications. For her scientific achievements, she received a scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young scientist and twice a scholarship for young scientists founded by the Foundation for Polish Science.
