Dr. Jolanta Konieczkowska is currently an Associate Professor at the Centre of Polymer and Carbon Materials of Polish Academy of Science (CMPW PAS) in Zabrze. From 2014 – 2018 she was a Researcher at the CMPW PAS. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Silesia in Katowice in 2017. She is a principal investigator of a grant entitled New azopolyimides and poly(amic acid)s for potential application as layers for liquid crystal alignment financed by the National Science Centre. Konieczkowska has received a number of awards, including DoctoRis Scholarship, Rector’s Award of the University of Silesia for scientific achievements and social activities, The first prize award in the competition on the best Master thesis seeking innovative solutions organized by the University of Silesia in Katowice. She is a co-author of 23 publication from the JCR list (Journal of Materials Chemistry C, European Polymer Journal, Dyes and Pigments). Her recent research interests include the synthesis and development of azochromophores and azopolymers for potential applications in photonics and optoelectronics devices.
