Sławomir Sułowicz, PhD, an enivironmental microbiologist. He works at Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland. His area of interests is focused on the response of microbial communities from various environments to anthropogenic pollution. He studies the impact of pesticides, heavy metals and nanomaterials on soil microbial community structure and function. Currently he is working on the project ‘Toxicity assessment of nanopesticides against non-target soil microorganisms’ and is focused on the
application of microbial toxicity tests for risk assessment of nanomaterials.
