Marta Kargol is a highly qualified R&D manager with large international experience in the technology-oriented organizations and with a strong background in the Materials Science, incl.: functional nanomaterials and coatings. She graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) of Silesian University of Technology in Poland. Within the European Project “Ceramen LPG” she pursued her PhD in France at the University of Montpellier in close cooperation with universities in Greece (Athens) and Spain (Malaga). She worked and led research projects for international research centers in Denmark (Danish Technological Institute DTI in Aarhus and Copenhagen), Scotland (University of Aberdeen in Aberdeen) and Germany (Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing BAM in Berlin). She has several years of experience in the developing of functional nanomaterials with desired properties based on sol-gel process combined with the direct liquidcrystal templating method. Marta Kargol is a member of Nanocem Consortium – The Industrial-Academic Research Network on Cement and Concrete, a reviewer of scientific journals, e.g. Cement and Concrete Research, Materials and Structures, Construction and Building Materials, and an expert of the European Commission for project evaluation under the FP7, H2020.
