Prof. Agnieszka Sobczak-Kupiec conducts interdisciplinary scientific research at the intersection of materials engineering, pharmacy, and nanotechnology. Her research interests focus on biomaterials, including composites for bone and cartilage tissue reconstruction and dental applications. She has held the title of Professor of Engineering and Technical Sciences since 2021.
She has been the principal investigator and researcher in multiple research projects funded by NCN, NCBR, MNiSzW, and FNP. Currently, she is leading the OPUS project titled “Hierarchical Approach to Bone-Cartilage Tissue Engineering – OsteoHierarch” (UMO-2022/45/B/ST8/02557).
She was a member of the Assembly for the Mission Board on Cancer (2019-2022), working under the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research & Innovation, as well as a Management Committee member of COST Action (2019-2023).

In total, she has received over 150 medals, awards, and distinctions. She has also been honored multiple times with diplomas and statuettes from the Minister of Science and Higher Education for promoting Polish innovations internationally.
