Professor at the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), working at the Faculty of Materials Engineering in the Department of Materials Technology. Her main area of scientific activity focuses on Lightweight Aluminum Matrix Composites (AlMCs) with ex-situ reinforcement obtained by liquid-state methods (e.g.: stir casting, centrifugal casting, infiltration).
She is a member of the discipline of materials engineering, Head of the Composites and Plastics Laboratory at the SUT, and the President of the Polish Society of Composite Materials (PTMK).
She has completed numerous industrial internships and 10-month research internship at the Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology at the Technical University of Dresden (TUD, Germany), where she led a research project funded by the Herbert Quandt/ALTANA program (2008). She completed postgraduate studies in Research and Development (R&D) at the University of Economics and Innovation in Lublin (WSEI, 2012).
Since 2017, she is a member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Cluster of Composite Technologies (PKTK) and the member of the Scientific Council of the KOMPOZYT-EXPO® International Trade Fair in Kraków. For over 4 years, she has been a member of the Non-metallic Materials Section of the Committee on Materials Engineering and Metallurgy of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
She has been a partner in InnoMAT Sp. z o.o. established in 2019 SUT spin-off, dedicated to the development and implementation of new material technologies.
