Dr Tomasz Siudyga obtained his PhD degree at Silesian University of technology in Gliwice, Faculty of Chemistry (2005) working on recycling of waste plastics towards production of valuable chemical and fuel raw materials. He is currently working at University of Silesia in Katowice, Faculty of Science and Technology. He specializes in applications of heterogeneous catalysis in industry and environmental protection, especially in carbon dioxide management and removal of gaseous pollutants, including nitrogen oxides.
Many years of cooperation with industry in the field of heterogenous catalysis, recycling of waste plastics, engine fuel additives and production of full-value fuels for the power industry from waste fractions from fossil coal processing.
Author of many patents and patent applications, publications and participant in Polish and international conferences.
Laureate of prizes and awards at Polish and international exhibitions (among others: Gold Medal on International Trade Fair „Ideas-Inventions-New Products” iENA in Nuremberg, Gold and Silver Medals at the International Inventions and Innovation Exhibition, International Fair of Chemical Industry EXPOCHEM, International Trade Fair for Innovation and Economics INTARG).
