Artur Miros is a graduate of the University of Silesia, he obtained his PhD in chemistry in 2000. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Electronic Structures and Lasers in Greece and at the Max Planck Institute in Germany. He currently works as the Director of the Center of New Technologies in Construction at Łukasiewicz – Warsaw Institute of Technology (Łukasiewicz – WIT). He deals with issues related to building materials and products, in particular thermal insulation and waterproofing materials. He is the author or co-author of over 40 scientific or scientific-technical papers related to heat flow, building physics, and materials science. Member of the Expert Group associated with the voluntary quality mark KEYMARK for thermal properties of building materials and insulation of industrial installations. Member of the German Association of Engineers VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure) and the European association Thermal Insulation Association for Quality (TIAQ).
