Gaweł Żyła works as Associate Professor at the Rzeszów University of Technology, Rzeszów Poland. He got Engineer and Master degree in Applied Physics at Rzeszow University of Technology, Poland, in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Since 2010 he conducted research on the rheological properties of nanofluids and in 2013 he defended a PhD thesis in Institute of Nuclear Physics, Polish Academy of Science, Cracow, Poland. After PhD he expanded his area of interests to experimental studies on thermal conductivity, mass density, isobaric heat capacity, surface tension and other physical properties of nanofluids, ionic liquids and composites. In 2019 he gets habilitation degree. In November 2019 he was awarded with the scholar for outstanding young scientists by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland. From 2020 to 2021 he was the head of the Department of Experimental Physics at Rzeszów University of Technology. He has been included in the top 2% (ranking by Stanford University and Elsevier) of most cited scientists several times.
