Dr. Ewa Olejnik is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Foundry Engineering, AGH University of Science and Technology, specializing in advanced casting technologies and metal matrix composites (MMCs) with in situ reinforcement. Her research focuses on developing functionally graded materials through innovative casting processes, including the integration of ceramic reinforcements such as TiC and WC to enhance wear resistance and mechanical performance.
She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals and holds 17 international patents (US, EU, JP, CN) related to composite casting technologies. Many of these patented solutions have been successfully implemented in the mining and cement industries, demonstrating the strong application potential of her work.
For over 10 years, Dr. Olejnik has also served as CEO of Innerco Sp. z o.o., a spin-out company of AGH University operating in past within the INNOAGH portfolio. Innerco specializes in transferring advanced material technologies from research to industrial practice, with a particular focus on MMC solutions for heavy-duty applications.
Currently, her scientific activity is centered on light alloys nanocomposites for automotive industries, combining experimental research with computational modeling to design next-generation lightweight, high-performance materials. She actively collaborates on national and international research projects, aiming to advance sustainable manufacturing, functional cast components, and hybrid processing routes.
