Katarzyna Haraźna, is an assistant professor working in the Department of Materials Engineering at the Cracow University of Technology. She is a graduate of the Cracow University of Technology (MSc and Eng studies). She obtained her PhD degree as a result of InterDokMed – Interdisciplinarity for Innovative Medicine studies at the Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences. She conducts interdisciplinary research focusing on the use of biopolymers, where she combines disciplines such as biotechnology, polymer technology, surface chemistry, materials engineering and tissue engineering. Scholar/researcher in projects funded by NCN, NCBR, NAWA. Recipient of NCN Miniature Prize (2024), START 2024 Scholarship for outstanding young scientists (2024), FEBS Scholarship (2021), Semi-finalist of FameLab challenge (2024). Winner of the Ivanova NAWA competition – implementation of a six-month scholarship at The University of Sheffield. She has held internships abroad: The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry Czech Academy of Sciences, The Technical University of Denmark and The University of Westminster.
