Mateusz Tomczyk

Msc. Eng. Mateusz Michał Tomczyk studied organic chemistry at Department of Chemistry of Silesian University of Technology (SUT). Apart of organic synthesis he became interested in carbon nanotubes and since 2013 he tries to utilize different CNT properties in biomedical imaging from MRI to NIR fluorescence imaging. He underwent research internships at Durham University, Kyushu University and Osaka University. Currently, he is a principal investigator of Preludium project at SUT aiming on development of [2+1] cycloaddition of nitrenes as an another tool for modification of SWCNT fluorescence properties.
