Iza Matuła (ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8013-7776) is an assistant professor at the Institute of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Silesia in Katowice. Currently finishing PhD thesis about gradient, porosity materials based on titanium for potential medical application under supervision of Grzegorz Dercz, professor of University of Silesia. Head of the Preludium project – New porous titanium alloys for medical applications with increased resistance to corrosion, produced in the process of mechanical alloying (2016/23/N/ST8/03809) financed by the National Science Center. Her research interests involve the mechanical synthesis, titanium-based materials for potential biomedical applications, x-ray diffraction methods. Iza Matuła is the co-author of over 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals in field of materials science.
