Director of the Institute of Metrology and Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechatronics, Warsaw University of Technology, and Chair of the Scientific Council for the Discipline of Biomedical Engineering at WUT. She obtained her Ph.D. (2012) and habilitation (2018) as a young scientist, and in May 2024, she was awarded the title of professor.
A nanotechnologist specializing in materials chemistry and researching their photo-electro-bio-activity at the micro-to-nano scale. Her current research focuses on two-dimensional (2D) materials, new layered heterostructures, nanocomposites, and designing their electronic properties using various techniques and processes to enhance their performance in selected applications.
She is a co-author of publications in prestigious scientific journals, with a Hirsch index of 31 and over 3,500 citations. Since 2021, she has been recognized among the World’s TOP 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier.

She has led research projects funded by:

She is also a co-inventor of multiple patents and patent applications and a coordinator of technology transfer through patent licensing and spin-off company creation.

Since 2022, she has been a member of the Council for Higher Education, Science, and Innovation within the National Development Council under the President of Poland. In 2023, she joined the Fellows of the Young Academy of Europe.
In 2024, she became the coordinator of the “Poland in Silicon Valley Center” initiative at Warsaw University of Technology and a mentor in project development at WUT.
