Prof. Dariusz Boroń, MD, PhD, DSc – obstetrician-gynecologist, academic lecturer. Member of the Scientific and Program Council of the Center for Research on the Safety of the Healthcare System at WSB Academy in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
He graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine with the Division of Dentistry in Zabrze, Silesian Medical Academy in Katowice, in 1995. In 2005, he completed his specialization training in gynecology and obstetrics. He has successfully combined professional development with research and development activities. In 2008, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences based on his dissertation “The influence of zinc pre-exposure on the toxic effects of cadmium in rats”, defended at the Faculty of Medicine with the Division of Dentistry in Zabrze, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. In 2016, he received his postdoctoral degree (habilitation) in medical sciences in the discipline of medicine, based on the scientific achievement “The role of selected inflammatory factors in the pathogenesis of postmenopausal osteoporosis”, at the Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Łódź. In 2022, he was awarded the title of Professor.
The scientific work of Prof. Dariusz Boroń focuses on the search for new complementary molecular markers in the diagnosis and monitoring of therapy for gynecological cancers, with particular emphasis on endometrial cancer.
